

Rachel Powell is a WGA writer, producer and creative strategist with over two decades of professional experience across film, television, digital media, print, social, theater, and entertainment marketing formats. Through Powell Now, she partners with creators, producers, directors, entrepreneurs and emerging storytellers to empower ideas into compelling, undeniable content.
Powell’s honors include a Sony–Streisand Fellowship, the Reel Spirit Award for Best Screenplay, Warner Bros. Television Workshop and the LA Theatre Center's Women’s Project selection, a Hudson Theatre Award, a Dramalogue Award and multiple artist grants.
Recent work includes Creative Consultant-Producer on the feature film Golden, in theaters and streaming in 2026, creating the true story drama Legit and authoring the nonfiction book Absurd Miracles, with support from the City of Santa Monica's Cultural Affairs Department.
